The journal was created in 2011 with the support of Pharmcontract Group of Companies and since then has been regularly published on a quarterly basis. Subsequently, the leading Russian medical Universities joined to the publication of the journal: I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University) and Siberian State Medical University. Since 2018, the main founder of the journal is LLC Center of Pharmaceutical Analytics (LLC «CPHA»)

Since its creation, the journal is indexed in RISC (elibrary). Since 2015 journal is included in the VAK list of peer-reviewed scientific journals, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate of science, for the degree of doctor of science should be published.

Journal is distributed to all key pharmaceutical and chemical technology events. With the support of the research and production journal “Drug Development & Registration”, free scientific conferences are held on a regular basis for employees involved in the circulation of medicines.
